Rules of the Society:-

1. Title:-  SOCIETY of LEEDS GOLF CAPTAINS

2. Membership:-

The membership of the Society shall consist of  Club Captains and Gentlemen Captains past and present of clubs listed on the Member Clubs page.

3. Objects:-

To promote and further interest in golf for the Members of the society and to organise and control the Spring & Autumn meetings, and team matches and to organise the Annual Dinner.

4. The Governing body:-

To be known as  “The Executive” with the entire management of the Society vested in it.

The Executive” shall consist of  The Captain, who shall be the Chairman of the Society, the Vice Captain, and all who have held the office of “Captain of Captains”, including the President.

5. The Annual General Meeting:-

The meeting shall be held in early May after the spring meeting, where all members are entitled to attend & vote.

Forty members shall constitute a quorum.

6. Principle purpose of the Annual General Meeting:-

A).  to receive the Honorary Treasurer’s report and accounts for the previous year.

B).  to confirm in office as Captain and Chairman  (the vice Captain) who shall remain in office for one year.

C). To confirm in office as President of the Society, the immediate Past Captain, who shall remain in office for one year.

D).  to confirm the executive nomination for Vice Captain for the ensuing year.

E).  to elect a Secretary / Treasurer.

F).  To enact any other business of the Society.

Subscriptions:-

The Subscription to the society shall be a one-off payment, the value as directed by “ The Executive” from time to time,  for a lifetime membership.

A Society tie will be supplied in addition, to be worn on all occasions of meetings/matches of the society.
